Recruiting from overseas is an effective way to strengthen your workforce, but it is not a quick fix.
The UK Government supports overseas recruitment and has added care roles to the Skilled Worker Visa.
Overseas recruitment isn’t for everyone.
It’s a serious commitment with significant responsibilities on the employer.
Most say the benefits outweigh the challenges, cost and effort involved.

Displaced Worker Grant Scheme 2024-25
The Government has made further funding available to support international recruitment for the adult social care sector during the 2024-25 financial year.
Grants of £3,000 are available to help Buckinghamshire CQC-registered providers recruit displaced overseas workers.
There is also training and a legal helpline.
